Custom Leather Belt

We were soooo tired of the basic and mass-produced belts for riders - you know the kind: fancy stitched, plain & raised, TS wide, and western bling belts. Our ateliers at Delfina decided to make the most high-end belt in the world, for some of the most high-end athletes in the world.

Our introduction begins with this truly one-of-a-kind, luxe belt. Made from Horween's Cavalier leather in Ink. We selected this leather because of its high natural oil content. This characteristic helps this belt withstand the harsh conditions of our sport: rain (and the occasional sprinkler or hose), sand, arid conditions, and humidity. This leather can also withstand a lack of regular maintenance, which can be so important for riders who are often beleaguered with hours of horse care, barn care, facility maintenance, riding, training, and stable management EVERY DAY! We wanted this belt to look good day in and day out, for years to come, with no additional effort from you.

We wanted to do a fancy brogue design down the full length of the belt, and to highlight this attention to detail we needed a bright, complimentary color. Sandwiched between the two layers of Cavalier is a thin layer of Chanel's fuchsia caviar leather. The hot pink caviar peeks out from under the dark blue shell and provides the perfect amount of flair for even the most conservative hunter rider.

This belt has been designed to fit most standard luxury leather belt clips, but specifically Hermes' buckles. Pictured is a flat gold Hermes buckle which compliments the overall color scheme perfectly. No matter where you go in this belt - in or out of the ring - you'll turn heads.

Delfina Saddlery uses the finest leather from top tanneries such as Horween, Alran, Haas, Samanta, Remy Carriat, Weinheimer Leder, and Degermann. We stock the most famous Birkin leathers, Epsom, Caviar, Baranil, and everything from calf to bull to shell cordovan. Every color of the rainbow is available to you in dozens of textures and finishes to compliment your tastes.

Each piece of this belt was carefully cut by hand, skived down to just a few millimeters thick, then hand stitched together (and yes, we mean every stitch was done by hand - all 508!). Each hole of the custom brogue pattern was punched by hand. All edges are treated with multiple layers of edge paint to ensure your belt looks clean and refined for a long time to come. Each layer was sanded down by hand to ensure a perfectly smooth finish.

Please note most of our belts feature Chicago screws so you can remove the buckle and add your own set. This particular belt is designed to be used with most high-end buckles that utilize a slot and collar button (like Hermes' classic H buckles).
